Weddings songs for the ceremony and reception
May 5th 2008 06:52
I was going through my wedding files and came upon a list of songs I wanted to have played at our ceremony. I'm not even sure if all of these were followed, except for the Bridal March.
Processional: Prelude in C (from The Well-Tempered Clavier, Part 1 / Bach)
Bridal March: The Prayer (without vocals)
Marriage Rites: Paganini’s Theme (Paganini)
Offertory: One hand, One Heart
Lord’s Prayer: Our Father
Communion: Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desirings (Bach) | Panis Angelicus (Cesar Franck) | Ave Maria (Charles Gounod)
Recessional: Wedding Song (Kenny Gorelik) – to be played more upbeat than usual
During the reception, these songs were played. Some were instrumental, some had a wonderful lady singer bringing the songs to life.
