Congratulations and hello! My name is Toni. Here are some thought starters for your big day and that big plunge you're taking. Cheers to your coming married life!
A recent study revealed that a chemical in women's tears lowers men's testosterone levels.(Source) One line from the article goes:
"Sobel said researchers had expected the tears would boost the men's sense of empathy. Instead, their heart and respiratory rates, salivary testosterone and a brain scan all pointed to a reduction of sexual arousal."
I guess women can use that knowledge for something. If they're not in the mood for an intimate evening, women don't have to pull the "I have a headache line!". They just need to shed a few tears.
When Conan O'Brien decided to follow one girl on his Twitter, he must not have realized what a cool fairy godfather he would become. With only one mention by Coco, the lady, Sarah Killen, got tons of attention.
Here's that awesome Tweet that indeed may have changed Sarah Killen's life:
"I've decided to follow someone at random. She likes peanut butter and gummy dinosaurs. Sarah Killen, your life is about to change." (Tweeted, March 5)
It was followed twelve hours later by another Tweet from Coco:
"Sarah likes Twizzlers and craves cantaloupe. I like Raisinets, but melon feels creepy in my mouth. Twitter pals 4 eva! " (Tweeted, March 6)
Because of these mentions, lucky Sarah Killen shares she is getting custom made shoes and a dress from Kelima in New York, a limousine, wedding bands and wine from a California vineyard. She's asked Conan to be their best man, and is even willing to get married on his (future?) show. (Source) Now wouldn't that be cool?
A couple got married in the first place they met each other -- a Whole Foods Market in Florida. (Source) Sweet, sweet, and rather an interesting place to get married in, don't you think? As soon as rice is thrown over the couple's exit, maybe someone could say over the speakers, "Clean up on Aisle 5!"
If you and your fiance/e were to get married in the first place were you laid eyes on each other, where would that be?
In my case, it would be at an old office building (my husband says he remembers me from my first day at work, but I don't remember meeting him then) OR on a bus, since we had our first conversation on a bus ride to the beach for our office outing. Neither sounds very romantic. Haha!
So here's how it works. The lady sets a date, and the LCD shows the number of days till her ideal wedding date. When an engagement ring is inserted into that pink half-sphere above the LCD, the melody "Here Comes the Bride" (The Wedding March) plays. There's even a pen on the side of the bra for signing the wedding contract.
It's a conceptual bra from Japan. I wonder how many women would really use this!
How awesome is that! There was dancing, a wedding cake, toasts, strangers (Improv Everywhere agents) as bridesmaids and groomsmen, presents, and a "Just Married" "carriage" ride.
This was definitely a wedding reception to remember, more so for the couple who wasn't expecting it AT ALL. They should thank their lucky random stars.
It's cute and scary at the same time! One minute they're watching a documentary on Africa, the next day they've eloped along with the potential bride's seven-year-old sister to be their witness. Good thing their plans were put to a halt by a policeman who spotted the adventurous trio.
