Delegate on your wedding day

Fine, you want to make sure all the details in your wedding list are covered.
Fine, you want to make sure that the flowers are all fresh, that the cake has arrived, that your guests are comfortable, that your caterer has warmed the food.
It's natural for a bride or groom to want to be on top of all the details for wedding preparations. But on your wedding day, you may want to let go a little bit. You might become so involved in the details that you forget to celebrate the reason why you have that special day in the first place -- to get married!
Get help from a wedding planner or a friend or a sibling or your best man/maid of honor on your big day. A few weeks before your wedding, run them through your plans. They may want to have a team to help them out as well. Delegating the work will allow you to relax more a few days before AND on your wedding day.
The better you plan your wedding, the more comfortable and relaxed you will be on the big day. Delegation is a part of proper planning. As much as possible, don't appoint yourself head of your planning committee okay? Resist the urge to check on the details during the celebration!
Remember, on your wedding day, you ARE the celebrant. You ARE the bride. You ARE the groom. You are NOT a wedding planner.
So relax, take it easy, plan well, delegate, and enjoy one of the happiest days of your life!
